Welcome to Barningham Church of England Voluntary Controlled Primary School.
As a school community we chose our common aim to be: To learn, aspire, believe and hope through our Christian faith.
At the centre of our learning and teaching is our belief in the importance of each individual. We aim to develop the potential of all our children, so that they can contribute as fully as possible to the world. Our latest Ofsted Report said that our pupils are “positive about learning and interested in the tasks set them”, and “very confident that their ideas and contributions to discussions are valued”.
We follow a creative and kinaesthetic curriculum, in which the staff and children explore a range themes through art, drama, IT, literature and RE. As a school we are fortunate to be supported by skilled specialists in music and PE, thus maintaining our high expectations for achievement and engagement. Each class has a dedicated page on our website – as do the different pupil councils, or governors and PTA – and these are updated regularly so that you can share in our school day.
There is also a curriculum page with information and ideas on how you can support your child at home with their learning.
