Why should we trust people?

  • If we fall down there will be someone there
  • The world would be unhappy if we didn’t
  • They might be able to help you
  • If you don’t trust then they might say that they don’t want to be your friend – [We discussed this as a class afterwards – possible bullying issue or misunderstanding friendships]
  • If you didn’t, you’d be lonely
  • You wouldn’t know what to do
  • If you don’t they might not like it
  • You should trust the teachers to keep you out of danger
  • If you didn’t trust anyone it would be boring
  • Because we love them.

When should you not trust somebody?

  • If someone is mean or naughty (2)
  • If you trusted someone before and they broke your trust
  • People you don’t know on games
  • If they hurt you (2)

    • If they hurt your feelings (2)
    • Let you down
  • People you don’t know on line
  • If they’re cruel, I wouldn’t trust them
  • When a stranger asks you to do something (2) sily.

Who trusts you?

  • My friends (4) – I keep secrets
  • Mum and family (3) – I help her
  • TA
  • My daddy to make good progress with my times tables
  • Animals (2) to walk/ feed
  • Police officers trust us not to do the wrong thing
  • Myself
  • Siblings.

How could we help people to trust?

  • Tell them to trust
  • Be kind (2)
  • Don’t talk behind their backs
  • Be positive
  • Don’t tell other people’s secret
  • Trust them – show them how to trust
  • By saying sorry
  • Helping them
  • Not hurt them
  • Try to help them make friends
  • By giving them information
  • By saying that others can share your things
  • Help them to get out of a big hole.
